Hi. I just wanted to share about a time that God answered a need of mine.

When I lived in Virginia, my youngest son, Aaron, and I had cut down a pine tree in our front yard that was deceased. It was in the middle of summer and the tree was about 10 inches in diameter at the base and about 20 feet tall. We cut the tree down to where there was about a 6-inch stump sticking above the ground. There were several other healthy trees in the same area of the front yard and I tabled the thought of looking for a professional stump grinder to remove the remainder of the tree.

When the October season began to shower the front yard with Fall leaves, I went out to the front yard and started raking them into a pile and bagging them for disposal. I saw the pine tree stump and I thought silently, “Wow, I forgot about that. I have been meaning to look up a list of stump grinders available in my area.”

Within 15 seconds of that thought, a pickup truck turned the corner of the street beside our house and pulled up in front of my house. And guess what?!!! It was pulling a trailer with a stump grinding machine!

The driver jumped out of his driver’s side door onto my front lawn and said, “Do you have any stumps to grind?” Wow, what a God moment! I immediately said “Yes!” and shared with him my story of procrastination in getting that stump ground. I had expected a price estimate over $100 and I asked him, “How much?” He said, “$40.00”. I immediately replied, “Come on in!” He said that he needed to change his blades to a sharper set and I said, “Take your time!”.

The job was completed and I once again realized that things happen in God’s time, not mine! That guy was just touring the neighborhood looking for work. God met his need and mine! I think I gave him $50! I was so happy that the pine tree stump was gone.

Praise God for meeting our needs!
