To experience the miraculous we cannot command it of God or demand it from God by using some magical incantation. Neither is a life of study required. All that is required to move into miraculous levels of interaction with God is to have enough faith to seek God with all our heart. And to have a willingness to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength when you finally find that God is real and knows and cares about you.
How to Move From Unbelief to Belief
If you are not already a believer in God and a disciple (student and follower) of Jesus, then I pray that the following links, describing some of my experiences, will help you to truly consider the possibility of the reality of God.

I know how difficult it is for someone who doesn’t believe in God to open your mind and travel the great distance between, “no it is not possible” and “maybe it is possible.” But that is a journey worth taking; it is a trip to the ultimate reality of the universe.
Be Patient With God and Yourself
If you are searching to find God for the first time, or if you already believe and you are searching to attain a close personal relationship with God, you must be patient with God and yourself, because it is not God who has distanced himself from us but it is we who have put up barriers between ourselves and God. The barriers we put up are our attitudes, including our level of willingness and desire, and our behaviors.
God said through the prophet Jeremiah, “you will find God when you seek him with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13). All your heart is a huge amount! I discovered for myself that you can think you are searching with all your heart but you are deceived; there are no short cuts to this: it takes the whole heart. It can take a very long time to come to the point of total commitment; it can take years of searching. Or it can take 20 minutes in a time of crisis and absolute desperation to move us emotionally to where we can truly bring our whole heart to the table.
So be patient, do not be discouraged, search with optimism; truly search and you will find, knock earnestly and the door will be opened to you, as Jesus said:
Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.”
So keep searching and you will find for yourself that Jesus spoke the truth.
Growing Your Faith
For all of us, life is much more journey than destination. My journey as a Christian is about growing continually in my knowledge of God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It’s about growing in my relationship with God through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior in the daily experience of the power of God through the Holy Spirit.
As we go through life, we will naturally experience many crossroads of our own choosing – decision points the results of which will change the course of your life: who should you marry? How many children will you have? Will you quit that job? Life will also impose on you many crossroad moments not of your choosing – times when change is forced upon you or those you love from accident, illness, disaster, or age. The book of Ecclesiastes says time and circumstance happen to all people, and Jesus said, “God makes his rain to fall on the good and evil alike.”
If you are traveling through life with Christ you will find that these crossroads and moments of your greatest need are opportunities to receive the greatest blessings. As you look to God in these moments, again and again you will find God in them and this will reinforce your faith and lead you to ask God for what is on your heart, and to seek God more and more in the ordinary times. Thus your spirituality will grow as mine has in a positive upward reinforcing cycle.
Knowing God Better
If you are inspired to try to get to know God for the first time, or to know God better, here is what I would recommend.
First, you need to pray daily, even it is just little short prayer like “Thanks for this day, God;” relationships are built on communication and you need to develop or strengthen your relationship with God through daily communication. Praying is just talking to God either aloud or in your head with the presumption that He is hearing you; even if you are not feeling anything when you pray, keep praying. As my experienced proved to me, God is hearing you even if you don’t feel heard. I also can’t recommend anything better than that you use the Lord’s Prayer daily as you might expect from a prayer called the Lord’s Prayer it is a holy and specially blessed prayer. Pray it every day and think about the meaning of the words as you pray. Be patient but persistent; in time God will certainly make himself known to you.
Next, follow the wisdom of the apostle Paul which is still valid for all of us today:
Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. (Colossians 3:12-17 NLT)
